Sisters of Pemberly

I love Jane Austen's books, her books are wonderful works of literature. I can't really say what about them I like so much. The words how they flow, the story how moves you, everything is a work of art. Anyway some other girls and I have a blog dedicated to her, we are writing a story, we are going to do lots of other things to. But if anyone wants to co-author it with us please do! You would have to leave your email, I have it now so I see the comments before they are published, I think... so wait for that. lol
Here is the blog address.

Chips in my Lasagna

Okay prepare yourselves this is funny.

Yesterday Mom had Frodo and I do some Supper and Lunch stuff ahead of time, just so it would be easier. So I made the lasagna sauce, it was wonderful, it had lots of onions ad spices. Oh did I LOVE it! Then I looked in the fridge...ops no room.
"Okay," I thought, "I'll just leave it out on the counter."
Frodo and I clean up and leave.

Now it's lunch time, Frodo's making it. I come in and..."OHMYGOSH WHAT ARE YOU DOING!'' I almost yell. What I am seeing is this, my brother is putting MY sauce on his nachos! He completely forgot that HIS beans are in the fridge. And to make it worse we don't have any tomatoes of any kind in the house.

So as a result four things happened.
1. We had to take off the sauce with spatulas.

2. We had lasagna on our nachos.

3. We had chips in our lasagna.

4. And my pride was humbled.

Yes we defiantly learned some stuff that day.

Saints and Soldiers

Talk about one good movie, this is amazing. Here is a synopsis I got from IMDB

Based on actual WWII events, the award-winning "Saints and Soldier" tells the dramatic story of a small band of Allied soldiers trapped behind enemy lines with information that could save thousands of allied lives. Outgunned and ill-equipped, they must now battle a frigid wilderness and roving German troops to smuggle the critical intelligence back to allied territory. In mid-December 1944, Hitler's Army charges through the Ardennes Forest in Belgium, initiating the offensive that will come to be known as the Battle of the Bulge. The German soldiers open fire on the unarmed prisoners, in the tragic event now known as the Malmedy Massacre. Corporal Nathan "Deacon" Greer, his friend Gordon Gunderson and a handful of others survive the massacre by playing dead and escaping into the nearby woods. The small band of soldiers come across stranded British intelligence officer Oberon Winley, who has valuable information to be delivered to Allied forces, increasing the urgency of their already desperate situation. The group forms a fragile bond as they begin to trust each other. But the constant threat of capture, as well as mounting suspicions of a German sympathizer within the group, threaten to tear them apart. Now with few weapons, no food and a strained camaraderie, this tiny band must take on the unforgiving winter and a forest filled with enemy troops to fight their way back to Allied occupied territory.

The movie made me cry! It is NOT a movie for small children, because of war violence. But 12 or up would find it worth while to watch. It is rated PG-13 but my 10 year old brother had seen it twice, he loves it as much as I do. Deacon is really inspiring, in the movie he is having a sort of "shell-shock", he has a wife and baby, and is a Christian. Hence the nickname Deacon. I really want to say more but I can't without ruining the movie. This IS a move worth watching.

Say cheese!

This is Kathrine and Chiara! Kathrine was trying to make her put on shoes, and say cheese.

Emma

Today I am on page 79 0f Emma! I have just past the part where Emma has Harriet refuse Robert Martin. It was so funny to read the argument between Emma and Mr. Knightly! Emma is so funny.

Also yesterday I finished Northanger Abbey. I think that Henry Tilenly is my favorite male Austen hero. He liked to tease Cathrine and treated her just like his sister, which what a gentleman ought to do. I confess I like him more than Mr.Darcy!

Till later,

Back to school

Yes today we officially got back to school. I can't say that I'm that I'm overly excited, but it is good to get back on track. We had Math and we did a spelling test. I was allot more excited about spelling than I was about math, I dislike math with a passion. But hooray for me were back routine!
