This past week I was able to see some of my friends that I haven't seen for a couple weeks, and the question is always, "So! What have you been doing?"
Me: "Um...school."
Yes my life is pretty boring, but I really don't mind. I am content. I wake up in the morning get straight on to school, stop to eat and then go back to it. And I don't stop till my mom makes me. Its not that my school is very interesting, it is, but I like just being at home and doing school, being with my siblings and cleaning, reading and writing. Sometimes I have to go out sometimes, i.e Tuesdays for Youth Group, Wednesday for Mission Formation, and other stuff that comes out. But I find it so funny and strange at the same time that I am just content to be home. God must be giving me a gift. If I wasn't content I would be going crazy. :D
Have a great week,
Abi
"Go therefore and make disciples of all the nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, teaching them to observe all that I have commanded you; and lo, I am with you always, to the close of the age."

More Poems
Emily Dickinson
Death is a dialogue between
The spirit and the dust.
"Dissolve," says Death. The Spirit, "Sir,
I have another trust."
Death doubts it, argues from the ground.
The Spirit turns away,
Just laying off, for evidence,
An overcoat of clay.
I forgot how much I love poetry. :)
Have a great week!

Poems
CXVI
William Shakespeare
Let me not to the marriage of true minds
Admit impediments. Love is not love
Which alters when it alterations finds,
Or bends with the remover to remove:
O, no! it is an ever-fixed mark,
That looks on tempests and is never shaken;
It is the start to every wandering bark,
Whose worth's unknown, although his height be taken.
Love's not Time's fool, though rosy lips and cheeks,
Within his bending sickle's compass come;
Love alters not with his brief hours and weeks,
But bears it out even to the edge of doom,
If this be error and upon me proved,
I never writ, nor no man loved.
You gotta love poetry. ;)

Sink or Fly
You can only go up or down.
Warning this post will not make much sense. :)
I've been thinking about life, school, the future a lot. I guess that's nothing new, I do that all the time. Don't we all? I can do lots of things, some will pull me down, some will make me fly. People drag you down, people make you soar.
Maybe I'm saying this because I'm feeling a little bittersweet. Can some one feel bittersweet? Content not really happy and slightly sad. I'm content because life is fine, I'm doing well in school. But slightly sad because I miss my home, my real home in Oregon.
What does life really mean to people? Isn't that an interesting question? I think it is. I would like to just think about that questions for years.
This isn't making much sense, but its one of those days when you have to write, even though you can't think clearly about what you are going to write. So I wrote.
I hope everyone has a happy day,
Abi

God likes little people.
This week God has really been teaching me that he loves little people, and he cares about little things in our lives. One night our cord for our laptop stopped working, we would plug it in but it wouldn't charge. Needless to say we were all upset, the thought of having to get a new cord was in our minds. Suddenly Peter, (age 12) says, "Hey guys let's pray over the cord." All of the little kids agreed and soon all ten of us are laying hands on the cord. My sister Ellie, simply asks God to heal our cord, we plug it in and it works. All of us began to praise the Lord. A cord is such a little thing, but God answered our prayers.
All of us have dreams of being something big, a famous novelist, a singer. God wants us to be the best we can, but he also loves us as the little people we are. A 16 year old, sister, daughter, and missionary. I am nobody to most of the people in the world. But I am someone in God's eyes. To him I'm His daughter, His lover, His little missionary.
I'm so thankful for God's love and mercy!
Blessings this Sunday,
Abi
